FloodGuard Vents Return and Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your FloodGuard Vents purchase. If something is not right, we are here to help. This policy explains when items can be returned, how refunds work, and how we handle products that arrive damaged or defective. It applies to orders placed and delivered within the United States.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If a product is faulty, defective, or damaged in shipping, or if we sent the wrong item, we will make it right at no cost to you. Within 30 days of delivery, we will replace the item, or issue a full refund if replacement is not feasible. We cover the return shipping in these cases. Please contact us before returning anything so we can arrange the replacement or refund and provide a return label where needed.

Standard Returns and Restocking

New, unused products in their original, unopened packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. You are responsible for return shipping on these change-of-mind returns, and we recommend a trackable method, since we cannot issue a refund for a return we do not receive.

Products that have been opened but remain new, unused, and in resalable condition may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to a 20% restocking fee, which is deducted from your refund. Products that are used, installed, damaged by the customer, or not in resalable condition are not eligible for a standard return. The restocking fee does not apply to items that are defective, damaged in shipping, or sent in error, which are covered above.

How to Start a Return

To start a return, email us at support@floodguardvents.com with your order number and the items you would like to return. We will respond with return authorization and instructions. Please do not ship anything back before receiving authorization, as this helps us process your return correctly and without delay.

Inspecting Your Delivery and Freight Shipments

Some orders ship by freight or LTL carrier. Please inspect your shipment at the time of delivery, before the driver leaves. If the packaging or product shows visible damage, note the damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing, and you may refuse a severely damaged shipment. Take photos of the packaging and product. For any damage you discover after delivery, contact us at support@floodguardvents.com within 5 business days of delivery, with photos, so we can file a freight claim and arrange a replacement or refund. Reporting freight and shipping damage promptly is important, because carriers limit the time we have to file a claim.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund. Refunds reflect any applicable restocking fee and exclude original and return shipping charges except where the return is due to a defect, shipping damage, or our error.

Product Warranty

We stand behind the products we sell. If a product fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, normal wear and tear, or conditions beyond the product's rated and intended use. To make a warranty claim, contact us at support@floodguardvents.com with your order number and a description and photos of the issue. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have additional rights that vary by state.
